I used this LUT on a commercial video project where the client wanted a golden-hour look throughout the entire film.
Of course, it was impossible to shoot everything during the actual golden-hour window, which in our case gave us only around 30–50 minutes of usable light. This LUT was therefore very useful in post-production.
It didn’t automatically create a perfect golden-hour look, nor would I expect a LUT to do that, but it helped considerably in bringing the tones of footage shot at different times of the day closer together. With some additional colour correction and grading, I was able to achieve much better visual consistency across the film.
What impressed me most is that this is a free LUT and it actually works very well. It saved me time in post-production and, most importantly, the client was very happy with the final result.
