This brand new LUT is a digital replication of the analog dye transfer process, famously used by Technicolor to achieve some of the best color images ever committed to film.
The original 3-strip process was achieved by simultaneously exposing three individual film strips (later dyed Red, Green, and Blue), which were combined to achieve vivid saturation and a painterly feel.
Our Dye Print LUT captures to magic of the classic Technicolor look using era-accurate color science, optimized for modern digital footage. Expect lush, saturated tones with naturalistic color balance and a subtle nostalgic glow.
