I’ve been searching for a good Panasonic Cinelike-D LUT for a long time. I tried different LUTs and workflows, but I was never completely satisfied with the colors—especially skin tones, greens, and the overall color separation.
Then I came across the CineColor Lumix Cine-D LUT, and honestly, this is probably the best starting point I’ve found for my Panasonic footage.
What impressed me most is that it doesn’t just make the footage look “cinematic” by adding heavy contrast or pushing the colors. It gives the image a much more natural, balanced and refined color response while bringing Cine-D into a proper Rec.709-looking image.
The colors feel cleaner, the contrast has much better density, and the footage is much easier to grade afterward. It gives me that finished-camera color science feeling I was looking for from my Panasonic.
I’m shooting on a Lumix G7, and Cine-D has always needed some work in post to get the colors where I want them. With this LUT, the starting point is dramatically better.
For anyone shooting Panasonic Cine-D and struggling to get consistent, natural colors, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.
After testing so many LUTs, I finally found one I actually want to keep in my workflow.
